HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

The Summer Edge Program at Rutgers University-Newark allows students to earn college credits while still in high school.

Eligibility Requirements & Documentation

• You must be a current freshman, sophomore, or junior.
• You must have a minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average.
• A copy of your unofficial high school transcript is required. 
• A letter of recommendation from your high school counselor is required.

Complete the Online Application 
Before heading to the application portal, ensure you are ready to upload your unofficial high school transcript and letter of recommendation.  Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

If you are a returning high school student:

1. Log in to the application portal.
2. Locate the "2025 Summer Edge Program Application" under Available Applications.
3. Click Apply.  
4. Fill in your information and click Continue. 
5. Review the application, Terms & Conditions, electronically sign the application, and click Submit.

If you are a new applicant: 

1. Go to the application portal.
2. Click Get Started.
3. Complete and submit the Sign-Up form.
4. Complete steps 1-5 above.
