Provides an overview of supply chain management (SCM) and defines its role in the overall business strategy of a firm. It provides students with a comprehensive overview of the business processes and activities of a supply chain including sourcing, procurement, sales and operations planning, distribution, and demand management. The emphasis of this course is on identifying the SCM-related business processes, problems encountered in practice, and the new challenges facing SCM practitioners. It combines SCM business knowledge with analytical thinking and problem solving.
