COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course explores the development of physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional capacities in children from birth to adolescence. Topics include language, intelligence, social behaviors and attitudes, moral development, emotional development, attachment formation, parenting, and atypical development. Major theoretical perspectives and current empirical work on development are critically evaluated.Prerequisite: 21:830:102.
