In this intensive introduction to magazine writing, some of the things we'll focus on include: the elements of storytelling; understanding your audience's needs; putting style and substance into a compelling format; using argument of persuasion; the value of tone, style, length and language; how to write criticism; how to collect information for and write an intelligent, interesting profile; how to develop strategies for writing; and how to make editing and re-writing decisions like a professional.
