HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
SUMMER EDGE is Rutgers University–Newark’s High School Student summer program. Summer Edge is a unique opportunity for high school students to experience campus life, get to know our faculty and staff, and meet other highly motivated students while getting an edge up on their classmates. Summer Edge is a commuter program and is open to high school students currently completing 9th, 10th, or 11th grade.

SELECT YOUR COURSES
RU–N Summer Edge allows you to create your own schedule. We offer a variety of morning, afternoon, and evening face-to-face courses, or enroll in one of our online or hybrid courses. Summer Edge participants are encourages to enroll in Session II which meets during the high school summer break (July 10 – August 16).

HOW TO APPLY
The 2017 High School Student Application will open on Monday, February, 13.
High school students completing grades 9, 10, or 11 by June 2017 are invited to submit an application to the program through The Office of Summer & Winter Sessions Application Portal.
First time users who do not have an RU ID, must create a new account. Once an account is created, a list of applications will become available. Complete and submit a High School Student Application. Please upload a copy of your high school transcript and/or recommendation letter from a guidance counselor, instructor, advisor, or faculty member.
