DAY: 5/27-7/3
F 10:00-4:30
PORTER        BRADLEY 238

Since the beginning, jazz has been influenced by Latin and African music. In more recent years, jazz musicians have actually performed with musicians from those regions, as well as from India, Asia, and elsewhere. We will study how improvisation plays a part in many world musics, and how jazz artists have learned from them.
