Understanding the role of expectations, arbitrage, and the relationship to their cash market counterparts. Analyzing risk exposures and exploring the hedging and speculative potential of the markets. Implementing and evaluating hedges in commodity, interest rate, and equity markets. ESTATE PLANNING (3 cr.) No matter what your net worth is, it is important to have a basic estate plan in place. The Estate Planning Course covers the basic parts and the various legal aspects governing them. They include a will, the assignment of power of attorney, and a living will or healthcare proxy. For some people a trust may also make sense so the various forms of trusts and when they should be used are covered. These are all necessary parts of preparing a complete financial plan.
